Description

This is a bolt-on hinge conversion kit from Vertical Doors, Inc. that replaces the stock door hinges on a Buick Lesabre so each door swings out and then up. Part number VDCBLES7790. The hinges mount to the car’s factory bolt pattern, are made in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the design is patented. Because the factory mounting points are untouched, the kit is reversible – unbolt it and the doors go back to stock.

Each kit includes:

  • Two Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo door hinges, one for each side
  • Two gas shocks
  • All the mounting hardware for the job

Fitment covers every trim of the Lesabre from 1977 through 1990 – that is 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1990. VDI prototypes each kit on the specific vehicle it is built for, so the parts line up with this body rather than a universal template. A 6 to 12 page instruction manual comes in the box and free tech support is a phone call or email away, but we recommend having a professional shop do the installation, working from the instructions supplied with the kit.
