Fitment first: this kit fits the Dodge Stratus four-door sedan from 1995 through 2000, and it covers every trim level in that span, so a 1996 base car and a 2000 loaded one take the same parts. It is a Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo hinge conversion, part number VDCDSTR9500, engineered for this body rather than adapted from a universal design. The hinges mount straight to the factory bolt pattern, so the car’s original mounting points carry the doors.

The hinges are made in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the design is patented here as well. Because everything bolts to the factory pattern, the conversion is fully reversible; if you ever want the stock swing back, the original hinges bolt right in again. An instruction manual comes with the kit, and we recommend having a professional installer do the work with those instructions in hand so the doors end up aligned and closing the way they should from day one.
