Description

Part number VDCFE9702 is the Vertical Doors, Inc. hinge kit for the 1997-2002 Ford Expedition. VDI has spent more than twenty years building lambo door conversions, and every kit is made in the USA from domestic hardened steel under a US patent. This one is built specifically for the Expedition and fits all trims across the 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 model years.

  • 2 Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo door hinges, one for each side
  • 2 gas shocks to carry the door weight through the vertical swing
  • All mounting hardware for the conversion

The hinges bolt directly to the Expedition’s factory bolt pattern, and the conversion is fully reversible, so the doors can go back to their stock swing later. A printed instruction manual comes in the box and VDI offers free tech support, but these are big, heavy doors, so we recommend having a professional installer handle the job using the instructions supplied with the kit. One thing to know before ordering: truck and SUV kits, including this one, are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so double-check your year and model first.
