Two replacement hinges from Vertical Doors, Inc. take the place of the factory units and let each door pivot out and then straight up, with a pair of gas shocks carrying the weight so the doors hold their position. The hinges bolt to the factory bolt pattern on the Eclipse, they are machined from hardened American steel, and the design is patented and built in the USA. Because nothing about the mounting points changes, the car can be returned to its stock doors later if you ever want it back to original.
