Description
The Mercury Marauder and Grand Marquis are big, honest sedans, and vertical doors change the whole character of one. This kit from Vertical Doors, Inc., part number VDCMERMA0304, replaces the factory hinges so the stock doors swing out and then rotate upward. It covers every trim of the Marauder and Grand Marquis from 2003 through 2011, and the hinges are made in the USA from domestic hardened steel under VDI’s own patent.

The hinges mount straight to the factory bolt pattern, so this is a direct bolt-on kit, and the conversion is completely reversible if you ever want the car back to stock. One thing to know before ordering: VDI has moved this application to special-order status because of limited demand, so allow a 3 to 4 week lead time before it ships, and special-order kits cannot be refunded or exchanged. Getting the doors aligned and the shocks set correctly takes patience, so we recommend having a professional installer do the work using the instructions supplied with the kit.
