// About this kit

Part number: VDCCADELD9202
Fits: Cadillac Eldorado1992–2002
Made by: Vertical Doors, Inc., USA
In the kit: Left and right hinge assemblies, gas shocks, mounting hardware, instructions

Part number VDCCADELD9202 is a lambo door hinge kit built by Vertical Doors, Inc., the only manufacturer producing vertical door conversions in the USA. It fits the 1992-2002 Cadillac Eldorado two-door and covers every trim of that body, from 1992 straight through 2002. The hinges are made in the USA from domestic hardened steel, the design is patented, and everything you need for the conversion ships in one box.

2 Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo door hinges, one for each side
2 gas shocks to hold the raised doors up
All mounting hardware for the conversion

This is a direct bolt-on kit: the hinges mount to the Eldorado’s factory bolt pattern, and the whole conversion is reversible, so the car can go back to its stock doors later. VDI includes a printed instruction manual with each kit and backs it with free tech support. Fitting hinges and getting door alignment right takes patience, though, so we recommend having a professional installer handle the job using the instructions supplied with the kit.

The door first swings out on the vertical pin, then lifts on the round bearing hub, and the gas shock holds it up: the two-stage motion in VDI's patent (US 6,845,547). Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes.
