HONDA PRELUDE 1997-2002 VERTICAL LAMBO DOORS

Description

This kit converts a Honda Prelude’s stock doors to vertical operation by replacing the factory hinges with a pair of Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo hinges. Part number VDCHP9702 is a direct bolt-on design: the new hinges mount to the Prelude’s factory bolt pattern, and the conversion is fully reversible, so the car can be returned to its original hinges later. VDI builds the hinges in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the design is patented here as well.

Fitment covers every trim level of the Prelude across the 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 model years. Each kit ships with a 6-12 page instruction manual, and VDI offers free tech support by phone, email or social media if questions come up mid-job. Door alignment still takes care to get right, though, so we recommend having the kit fitted by a professional installer working from the instructions supplied in the box.
