About Chevrolet El Camino 78-87 kits
This category covers the Chevrolet El Camino built from 1978 through 1987. One kit fits it: the Chevrolet El Camino 1978-1987 Vertical Lambo Doors, part number VDCCHEVYEL7887. Like every VDI kit, it bolts on to the factory door mounting points, so no cutting or welding is needed. The installation is fully reversible, and the original hinges can be refitted if the doors are ever returned to stock.
