Description
This kit covers the 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 Honda Civic, and it fits every trim level in those model years. Part number VDCHC0105 from Vertical Doors, Inc. converts the stock swing-out doors to vertical operation. The hinges bolt straight to the Civic’s factory bolt pattern, so nothing gets cut or welded, and the whole conversion is reversible if you ever want the car back to stock.

The hinges are made in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the design is patented here as well. VDI has been building these kits for over 20 years and prototypes each one on the actual vehicle, which is why the fit is specific to this Civic body. An instruction manual ships in the box and VDI offers free tech support, but we still recommend having a professional installer do the work using those supplied instructions. Door alignment and panel gaps take experience to get right, and a good shop will have the doors swinging up cleanly the first time.
