Fits the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro, the sixth generation car built on the GM Alpha platform. Part number VDCCHEVYCAM16 from Vertical Doors, Inc. converts the stock doors to scissor-style movement: each door opens outward first, then rises vertically. Your original door shells stay on the car; the kit only changes how they swing, which is why the look works so well at a show or a cruise night.
Everything needed for the conversion comes in the box:
- 2 Vertical Doors, Inc. hinges, one for each side
- 2 gas shocks
- All mounting hardware
The hinges are a direct bolt-on and mount to the factory bolt pattern, and the whole conversion is completely reversible if you ever want the Camaro back on stock hinges. Kits are made in the USA from domestic hardened steel and cover the full sixth generation range, 2016 through 2024. We recommend having a professional shop handle the installation, working from the instructions supplied with the kit.
