Description
The 1999-2006 Chevrolet full size truck is a big, square-shouldered platform, and swinging the doors up instead of out changes the whole stance of the build. This vertical door conversion kit, part number VDCCHEVY-GMC9906, comes from Vertical Doors, Inc. and covers every trim of the full size truck from 1999 through 2006.
Each kit includes:
- 2 Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo door hinges, one for each side
- 2 gas shocks to hold the doors up and control the swing
- All the mounting hardware needed for the job
The hinges are built to line up with the factory bolt pattern, but GM trucks through 2006 left the factory with welded-on door hinges, so plan on some drilling and tapping during the install. The conversion is reversible, so the truck can go back to stock doors down the road. Every kit is made in the USA from domestic hardened steel and the design is patented here as well. An instruction manual ships with the kit, and we recommend having a professional installer work through it rather than making this your first wrenching project. Keep in mind that truck and SUV kits are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so confirm your application before ordering.
